Whew, this wedding was a fun one! Kaitlyn and Matt are high school sweethearts with two precious little girls and one awesome, giant family. To celebrate them officially becoming Mr. and Mrs., they chose Peacock River Ranch in Gatesville and turned it into a rustic, boho paradise that on this particular fall day in October, was drenched in sun and basically my dream come true!

Kaitlyn and her girls got ready at her mom’s newly renovated farmhouse, and for all I knew, Joanna Gaines herself had been in this space. It. Was. Perfection. I told Kaitlyn if all of my brides could get ready in a space as well lit as this one, I’d be a happy camper. Screened in porch, white shiplap walls, natural light pouring in through every open window - just dreamy.

My favorite moment from this day was one I wasn’t planning on catching. Right after the ceremony, the bridal party walked into the reception hall for a minute to wait for their guests to clear out to the outdoor cocktail area so we could go back and take photos. As soon as she entered the hall, Matt and Kaitlyn’s daughter Kaedyn started bawling as the emotions of the day came flooding and it hit her: it’s official! Mom and Dad are MARRIED! Matt wrapped her in the biggest hug and I didn’t even have time to change my camera settings from being outside in the bright sun but I clicked anyway because I HAD to capture that moment. Oh, my heart.

Kaitlyn and Matt, thank you for letting me be a part of this incredible day! Everything was beautiful - the decor, the weather, but most importantly, the love y’all have for each other and for your family. Cheers to FOREVER!
