Brooks | Newborn

What a story. Brooks’ life was being orchestrated, I fully believe, before he ever even came into this world.

First, flash back to summer 2017. Darcy reached out to me about taking their three-year anniversary photos and of course I said yes. The weather had other plans, though. It poured ALL day long, on and off, on and off, and we almost just called it off. Darcy told me later she didn’t have the greatest attitude about photos that day, but something told her to go ahead and get them done …

Well, fast forward to summer 2018. Those very photos, Darcy and Chase ended up using for their adoption book. The one birth mamas would pour over to get to know potential couples and to help them choose the perfect family for their baby. Brooks’ birth mom saw Darcy and Chase’s book, read about their life in Texas and knew they were the ones who would be his parents.

I didn’t even know all this until Darcy sent me a picture from the courthouse the day they adopted their son this past December. I had tears streaming down my face just thinking about how everything had come together with God’s hands all over it. Brooks was meant to be a Weishuhn and Darcy and Chase were meant to be his parents. What an honor to get to capture Brooks’ newborn photos at home and see this story come full circle. Thank you, Weishuhn family, for showing us what it means to be faithful!
