Getting to know Courtney + William was such a treat. I can’t wait for their summer wedding next year! We picked Gateway Park as a central location for us to meet to do these photos and honestly, not having shot there before, I was a little nervous about the setting. I’d scouted it out once, so I knew we could make it work, but several of our photo spots were just products of winging it - thanks to a perfect golden sunset and an open-minded couple, they turned out so well! We ended up driving to the opposite side of the park to explore after a change of clothes and found a dreamy spot with tons of oak trees and views of the river below. I didn’t realize until that morning that our engagement session day was also Courtney’s birthday! We celebrated with cake pops and I think this ended up being a pretty fun way to spend her birthday evening, all dressed up with the love of her life. Congrats, William + Courtney!
