Casidy | Bridals
This. Bride.
I’m so glad our paths connected a decade ago at our Texas A&M new student orientation. We reconnected when she became engaged to the love of her life, Ryan, and it’s been so cool to see where life has taken us both. For her bridal portraits, we went back and forth on locations, but Casidy ultimately decided she wanted to take them at her childhood home - the house she grew up in right on the shores of Tradinghouse Lake near Waco - and I’m so, so glad she did! The sunlight was incredible that day, the water so blue and pretty, and just the fact that this place means so much to her - it was perfect. Her grandparents even came by to see her all beautified in her dress and were holding back tears when Casidy walked out.
After I sent her a few sneak peeks, Casidy gave me one of the greatest affirmations I could receive. She sent me Romans 12:5-8. -So in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teaching; if it is encouraging; then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.- She said, “This is one of my favorite verses. People have different gifts given to them, and this is yours.”
WOW. That meant the world to me. It certainly reminds me that these photos can be powerful. How amazing is it to be able to see yourself in such a beautiful light? I don’t take that lightly.
Southern Belles Beauty did an incredible job on her hair and makeup and Flower and Ink made a gorgeous bouquet - Waco brides, these vendors do awesome work. Introducing the new Mrs. Orand - isn’t she radiant?!
