Madison + Ryan | Highlights
I’ve been SO excited to share this one with y’all. I was honored to second shoot for Rebecca Langford Photography for the first time back in June at Rustic Grace Estate. Second shooting is always a little interesting because I have NO idea, usually, what the couple is like. I’m just there to help out and capture different perspectives throughout the day. But Madison and Ryan, along with Rebecca, all made me feel like we weren’t all strangers – what an incredible day!
You’ll see quite a few groom’s portraits in this blog post. Typically, second shooters spend the majority of the pre-ceremony time with the groom and his guys. So while Ryan and I were hanging out and taking photos, I asked him to spill the story on how he met Madison – y’all. Straight out of a movie. They’re both from Texas but met while attending Harvard (he played football, she ran track). Ryan’s mom joked with him that it would be hard to find a girl from Texas so far away, but lo and behold, a mutual friend came through, introduced the two, they bonded over their love for their home state and for Whataburger and the rest is history.
Aside from their story and their sweet, faith-based love, what I loved most about this wedding was all the FUN ideas they incorporated! A grilled cheese and snow cone food truck for cocktail hour, cornhole boards that all the guests signed and left notes on, gorgeous floral dresses for her girls, and to end the night, a late night Whataburger Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit snack for every guest. Incredible. Ryan, Madison, and Rebecca, THANK YOU for the honor of being there for your big day! All the best!
