Wilson Family | Expecting

Wilson fam - where do I even begin? Getting to know this family through our good friends, the Thweatts, has been the biggest blessing. Amberlea has been a God-send kind of friend to me and her gift of prayer is unlike anything I've ever witnessed. She has a genuine, heartfelt way of investing in her people and blessing others - and her boys, Evan and Burke (who picked out the dinosaur shirt for these photos himself), are pretty fantastic, too! The Wilsons recently learned they were expecting baby number two, and with an upcoming camping trip in the works with some of our close friends, Amberlea tasked me with one of the greatest honors, but also one of THE hardest challenges ever - being their gender reveal secret keeper! She had the results of their gender test sent to me, and for 4 days, I could barely even speak to her knowing she had a baby GIRL growing inside of her but not wanting to spill the beans!

We decided to surprise our friends with a reveal at the lake the weekend we all went camping. After four torturous days of secret-keeping, that Friday finally arrived - we set up the cutest camper-themed dinner table at the RV park with a letter board that read "Happy camper on the way, boy or girl?" and waited for our friends to notice the sign. Once they did (watching it dawn on them what was happening - SO hilarious), we lit a smoke cannon and cheered when it blew PINK. The first baby girl in our little friend group! Burke is going to be the best big brother to his sister, teaching her everything he knows about dinosaurs, bull riding, and working cows, and this little girl will be so adored! We can't wait to meet you, baby girl Wilson!
